Come Celebrate Preservation Week at the Hershey History Center

We’re celebrating Preservation Week at the museum, and guess what? You can join us at home too! Preserving family history is very important, and even small things like moving old photos from the attic or basement to a bedroom closet can make a big difference.
For old documents, 📜 keep them in a cool, dry, and dark place, away from sunlight and UV rays. Also, be mindful of the temperature and moisture levels when storing them. Don’t forget to label everything! Include a date and maybe even her full name instead of just ‘dad’ so future historians can easily identify her.

The staff at the Hershey History Center is always happy to help with any documents you might find or give you some best practices on caring for your items. You can reach out to info@hersheyhistory.org and include ‘Preservation Advice’ in the subject line. Let’s work together to preserve our history!
