Speciality: luxury charcuterie boards and picnic setups
I create unforgettable experiences through beautifully curated food displays and luxury picnic events. My business focuses on crafting charcuterie and event setups that help people make special memories. I love how food can bring people together, and my goal is always to elevate an event with flavors, presentation, and atmosphere.
I’ve worked in food service most of my life, but it was always on the side while I built a career in accounting and financial reporting. Even though I worked at a bank for many years, I kept feeling drawn toward food and hospitality. The demand for what I was doing grew, and I realized it was time to listen to that nudge. A month ago, I finally took a leap of faith and left my full time job to pursue this business fully.
Working in food service for so many years gave me a strong foundation. I learned from great managers how to present food in an eye catching and appetizing way. Another major moment happened two years ago when I visited Paris. I had a picnic on the grass by the Eiffel Tower, and it completely inspired me. Seeing how people used simple, fresh ingredients to create a beautiful experience sparked the idea for my picnic events. I originally planned to build a picnic business, but charcuterie took off, especially around Covid, so I pivoted and followed the growth.
I’m driven by a desire to serve people with excellence. I want every customer to feel cared for, appreciated, and impressed by the quality of what I create. My faith is also a major driver. I aim to shine bright for Jesus in everything I do, whether that’s through customer service, product quality, or the way I treat the people who trust me with their celebrations.
My biggest values are living for Jesus, spending quality time with my family, and building meaningful friendships. I try to live life with intention because it’s short, and I want it to matter. I’m also passionate about good health. I stay active, I eat well, and I love encouraging others to do the same.
One of my biggest obstacles was trying to grow this business while working full time. I was working at the bank all week and then doing events every weekend, which left me exhausted and spread thin. I knew I needed a more sustainable structure if I wanted to expand. I considered turning my garage into a commercial kitchen, but that would have been extremely expensive. Then a market stand opened up, and I genuinely felt God directing me toward it. It gave me a place to build my presence, reach new customers, and take the next step without that huge financial burden. Time and money were the biggest hurdles, but taking action and trusting my faith helped me move forward.
Follow your heart. Do what you love and what you’re good at. If you feel passionate about something, that passion exists for a reason. You’re never too young or too old to begin. Listen to your gut and listen to God’s nudges. And most importantly, take action. Fear disappears when you start moving. One small step leads to another, then another, and soon you’re building momentum.
One of my favorite sayings is, “If you’re blessed, be a blessing.” It guides the way I show up for others. I also love the message of 2 Timothy 1:7, which gives me confidence and boldness to live out my purpose.
I love serving people, especially through food. I volunteer at free community meals, help feed the homeless, and participate in mission work. I’ve taken part in Thanksgiving meal service and other outreach events. Any opportunity to help someone, especially through something involving food, makes me happy.
Most people don’t realize I spent over 30 years in financial reporting, even though it was never my true passion. I ran my first marathon last November, even though I loved and hated it at the same time. I’m also a certified health coach, which I’ve been doing for five years.
