Speciality: guided electric bike tours in Hershey

What does your business do?

We offer guided e-bike tours through Hershey, showcasing a unique side of this world-famous destination. Our tours highlight the people and businesses that call Hershey home, blending the excitement of the area with the charm of its small-town atmosphere. Along the way, guests have the opportunity to engage with locals and experience Hershey’s vibrant community spirit.

Why did you start your business?

As a lifelong Pennsylvanian, I’ve always been fascinated by our state’s infrastructure, history, and the vibrant life in its small towns. I greatly admire Milton Hershey’s vision of creating a community where everything people needed was within walking distance. Hershey’s balance of small-town charm and global renown made it the perfect setting for an e-bike tour business. Highlighting this special place while riding through its beautiful streets on a sunny day was an easy and natural decision for me.

What drives you?

I’m deeply inspired by entrepreneurship and the pursuit of the American dream. Seeing individuals take a chance to build something meaningful for their community motivates me. Hershey, with its rich history and close-knit neighborhood feel, perfectly embodies this spirit. My goal is to share that through our tours—taking people on a fun, relaxing ride while connecting them with the heart of the town. I prioritize interaction with my groups during every stop and along the journey, ensuring the experience is both engaging and enjoyable. Even those hesitant about biking often leave excited and ready for more.

Can you share a major obstacle you faced and how you overcame it?

Initially, I anticipated difficulty in getting local businesses on board with my idea, but they’ve been incredibly supportive. The bigger challenge was finding a home base for my operations. It took time, persistence, and networking, but I was fortunate to secure the historic trolley shack at the Hershey History Center. It’s the perfect starting point for our tours and a space I’m proud to call home for my business.

What advice would you give others looking to start business?

You miss 100% of the chances you don’t take. Stop dreaming about what you’ll do "someday" and take action now. Life is unpredictable, and opportunities can pass you by. If you’re passionate about something, commit to it, even if it requires sacrifices or stepping out of your comfort zone. Hard work, determination, and resilience will eventually pay off. Success isn’t handed to you; it’s built through consistent effort.

Do you have a favorite quote or motto?

“The best way to predict your future is to create it.”

Are there any community projects you are passionate about?

Last year was a busy startup year filled with networking and trial and error. This year, I’m looking forward to becoming more involved in the community through events and volunteer opportunities. Giving back is something I’m passionate about, and I’m excited to start contributing in meaningful ways.

Is there something interesting about you we might not guess?

I'm a former firefighter and a drummer!
